Professor Tahir consults at the Royal Free London NHS Trust and is actively involved in the latest research and practice of treatments for arthritis.
With over 30 years of clinical experience, Professor Tahir is an expert in the management of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoporosis, SLE, vasculitis, back pain, polymyalgia rheumatica, soft tissue rheumatism, pain management and gout.
Professor Tahir is widely recognised for his contribution to medicine, winning the Gold Standard NASS Change Maker Award, BSR Best Practice Award for Emerging Best Practice, Barts Health Innovation in Healthcare Award for Service Improvement and two prestigious NIHR PI recognition awards for research.
In addition to his clinical work, Professor Tahir is an Honorary Clinical Professor in the Division of Medicine at the University College London and an Honorary Professor of Clinical Sciences at St Matthew’s University Hospital.
